Great Game, Tough Loss: Pattonville 3, Webster 2

In what has to be one of the best JV games I've ever witnessed (and I've been doing this a while), the undefeated Pirates continued their streak, eking out a one-run victory over the Statesmen. The umpires complimented both teams and both coaches are looking for a rematch next year when it becomes a conference game. Sami Meyer pitched a strong game, allowing only 6 hits and 1 walk. Girls shook off the few errors and kept the game close. Maia Langdon went 2 for 3 at the plat and drove in a run, despite a gimpy knee. All three Webster coaches went home impressed, including varsity coach Gibson. We travel to Lindbergh tomorrow in what promises to be another close game.

As always, thanks to Beth Kazlauskus for the great pix. Tomorrow at Lindbergh.
